Dr. Wale Bolorunduro, a former Osun State Commissioner for Finance during the first term of ex-Governor Rauf Aregbesola, has said the Accord Party, with Governor Ademola Adeleke as its candidate, is likely to win the coming August governorship election in Osun State.
This was contained in a report published by NIGERIAN TRIBUNE on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
In an interview, Bolorunduro said the party is working hard and has strong support in many parts of the state. He said party leaders, including Prof. Oladipo and Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi, are doing well in bringing people together, especially in Ife and Ijesa areas.
He also said the party expects a strong result in Osun East, adding that their figures show a clear win in that area. He noted that Governor Adeleke’s performance in office has made the campaign easier.
Bolorunduro said party members are working day and night under Prof. Oladipo and Prince Kola Adewusi, and they are sure of winning Ife and Ijesa votes for Governor Adeleke. He added that the result may be better than 2023. He said their figures show at least 20,000 votes in Osun East, and that the governor’s work has made things easier for them.
His words,
“In my voting algorithm, we will win Osun East with nothing less than 20,000 votes. Our candidate, the governor, has made the campaign job easier, with a second-to-none performance.”
