According to a report by the Times of Israel on Wednesday June 10, 2026, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has carried out a missile attack on a US military installation in Jordan, claiming that several key facilities at the al-Azraq air base were targeted.
According to the IRGC, four separate locations within the base were struck using long-range missiles. The group alleged that the targets included hangars used for F-35 fighter aircraft as well as a command-and-control facility.
The claim comes amid rapidly escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington following recent US military strikes inside Iran. While Iranian officials portrayed the operation as part of their response to American actions, there was no immediate confirmation from US or Jordanian authorities regarding the extent of any damage.
In a statement released through Iranian media, the Revolutionary Guards said the attack demonstrated their ability to reach strategic military sites across the region and warned that further confrontation could trigger a stronger reaction.
The IRGC also declared that it remains prepared to deliver a “crushing and decisive” response should the United States launch additional attacks against Iran.
The reported strike marks another step in a widening cycle of retaliation that has intensified over recent days. What began with the downing of a US military helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz has since evolved into a series of military exchanges, threats, and counter-threats involving both countries.
