Social media users have taken to their official X account on Thursday, June 18, 2026 to react to the comment that Bolaji Abdullahi, the spokesperson of the African Democratic Congress, ADC made about the new houses that the Tinubu’s administration built for judges.
This came after the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike commissioned some houses that were built for judges in Abuja.
In the statement that Bolaji Abdullahi shared on his official X account, he said the judiciary does not belong to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the FCT Minister. He said the judiciary belongs to the people of Nigeria.
Bolaji Abdullahi stated that the independence of the judiciary should not be sacrificed for political gain.
According to Bolaji Abdullahi on his official X account;
“This is particularly disturbing given the widespread perception that the President and this particular minister, Nyesom Wike already wield undue influence over the judiciary”.
