BREAKING NEWS: I Was Instrumental To Fayemi Becoming A Gov, When Nobody Saw Tinubu’s Light, I Started SWAGA -Ojo

The Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority, Oyetunde Ojo, has revealed that he played a critical role in Kayode Fayemi’s emergence as Governor of Ekiti State, and that he also he laid the grassroots groundwork for President Bola Tinubu’s presidential ambition long before the official campaign began.

Speaking on TVC, he said, “I was instrumental to Governor Fayemi’s becoming a governor in Ekiti. When I came to Nigeria, at no point did I choose any juicy position. I worked for everything. When nobody saw the light of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu becoming a president, I started SWAGA, and I went around to convey people. Senator Adeyeye, who was the chairman of the Board of Trustees, is the chairman. I’m the convener,” he said.

Ojo said his grassroots mobilisation effort took him across all 776 local government areas of Nigeria, travelling by road on multiple occasions including during the COVID-19 pandemic and amid the security challenges in the East.

He explained that this extensive groundwork is what President Tinubu often referenced during his campaign when he spoke of people working tirelessly on his behalf behind the scenes.
