In a recent interview shared by Channels TV, the National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has defended the party’s current leadership actions amid ongoing legal disputes.

Abdullahi stated that the party remains confident in its position following recent developments, stressing that its decisions are being made within the bounds of legality and recognition by relevant authorities. According to him, the ADC leadership will continue to carry out its responsibilities without hesitation as the legal process unfolds.

He emphasized the importance of legitimacy in political actions, noting that the party’s present status provides it with the authority to act decisively. “Any action we take now, at a time when we are recognized as the legitimate leaders of the party, cannot be invalidated in retrospect,” he said.

The ADC has been involved in a series of legal battles concerning its leadership structure, raising concerns about its preparedness for future electoral activities. However, Abdullahi maintained that the party is not deterred and remains focused on strengthening its internal processes.

He further reiterated the party’s commitment to due process and expressed confidence that ongoing court proceedings will ultimately affirm its stance, allowing it to fully participate in Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
