According to Jerusalem Post, a leading Middle East security analyst warns that Iran has launched a coordinated campaign to test the red lines of Israel, the United States, and Gulf Arab states simultaneously, raising the risk of a wider regional confrontation.
“Iran has entered an aggressive phase of testing boundaries with Israel, the US, and the Gulf all at once, said Dr. Aniseh Rawaz, a non-resident senior fellow at the Gulf International Forum. “They are no longer staggering their provocations, this is a deliberate strategy to overwhelm the response systems of their adversaries.
The warning follows a week of escalating incidents, an Iranian-claimed drone attack near a U.S. base in Syria, a suspected Iranian-origin explosive strike on an oil tanker off the Omani coast, and a cyber intrusion targeting Israeli maritime infrastructure. Additionally, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has conducted live-fire naval exercises within 50 miles of a key Gulf shipping lane.
Analysts suggest Tehran is exploiting post-Gaza war tensions and perceived U.S. election-cycle fatigue. By applying pressure on three separate fronts, Iran aims to expose coordination gaps between Washington, Jerusalem, and Gulf capitals.
A Western defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters that the threshold for a direct Iranian strike on an American or Gulf asset has noticeably lowered in the past month.
Dr. Rawaz concluded, “The key question is no longer if a miscalculation will happen, but when. All three actors are being forced into a reactive posture, and that is exactly where Iran wants them.
