In a recent interview shared by Trust TV, member of the National Caretaker Committee of the PDP, Okechukwu Osuoha, reacted to political interpretations surrounding remarks on the Minister of the FCT and his relationship with the President.
Osuoha said: “The Minister of the FCT, I can say, has an interest in supporting the President. Do you know if I am supporting the President?”
He explained that political statements are often taken out of context and used to create unnecessary tension within the political space. According to him, individuals should be careful about assumptions drawn from isolated comments.
Osuoha maintained that his focus remains on party responsibilities and internal rebuilding efforts within the PDP, especially as the party continues to position itself for future elections. He stressed that discussions around political loyalty should not be misrepresented or used to distort the true intentions behind his statements.
He further noted that the PDP is working to strengthen unity and stabilize its internal structures following recent political and legal developments affecting leadership questions within the party. Osuoha added that attention should be placed on reconciliation and party organization rather than speculation.
He reiterated that the party’s priority is to remain focused on providing credible opposition and preparing adequately for upcoming electoral contests, urging members to avoid divisive interpretations of political remarks.
