Solomon Dalung, a former minister, has stated that when he was serving as a minister under late President Buhari’s government, Wale Edun used to visit him regularly as a friend. He said their relationship was close at that time.
In an interview with Channels Television, Dalung said when Wale Edun became minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, he called Edun on the phone several times but his calls were not answered. He said because Edun stopped picking his calls, he decided to suspend their relationship
In Dalung’s words: “When I was a minister he visits me regularly as a friend because we worked with him in the transition committee but he could not make the cabinet. But the irony of power is that since his appointment I tried to reach him, I called him and he never picked my call”
