According to a report by the Punch Newspaper on Monday March 30, 2026, the governors-backed National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, led by Tanimu Turaki, has dismissed the recent convention organised by a rival faction aligned with Nyesom Wike as illegitimate.
