BREAKING: Oyo State Kidnap: Some Of The Terrorists Wore Army Uniforms While Two Others Wore Jalabiya- Ojo

According to a report by Sahara Reporters on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, Micheal Ojo, a local farmer whose four children were kidnapped by terrorists after they invaded three schools in the Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State, has revealed that some of the terrorists that attacked wore army uniforms, while two others wore jalabiya.

Micheal Ojo, recalling the attack, said that the assailants entered Yawota community disguised in military uniforms, with others wearing jalabiyas to mislead residents before striking.

He said, “For Yawota community, the kidnappers were about eight in number. Some wore army uniforms while two others wore jalabiya.”

He said the community was eerily quiet since most people had gone to their farms. Then gunshots erupted suddenly from inside the primary school.

Mr. Ojo added that a commercial motorcyclist had brought a tailor to the school, since the tailor often sewed clothes for the pupils. After parking his bike, the rider stopped to greet friends outside. The tailor even told him not to wander off, saying he’d be done quickly. But when the shooting started, the motorcyclist tried to run, and the gunmen shot him dead. The bullets shattered his head.
