BREAKING: Netanyahu and Milei Launch ‘Isaac Accords’ in Jerusalem to Expand Global Alliances

A new diplomatic initiative aimed at strengthening Israel’s international partnerships has been unveiled in Jerusalem, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Argentinian President Javier Milei officially launched the “Isaac Accords,” a framework designed to deepen cooperation across the Western Hemisphere.

According to The Times of Israel on Sunday, April 19, 2026, the initiative seeks to build a network of countries linked by shared Judeo-Christian values, with a stated focus on defending freedom, democracy, and countering threats such as terrorism, antisemitism, and drug trafficking.

The joint statement described the accords as a platform for coordination among nations described as “descendants of Isaac and nations of the Judeo-Christian tradition,” signalling an expansion of Israel’s diplomatic outreach beyond its traditional regional alliances.

A key component of the initiative includes joint efforts to counter what the statement called Iran’s attempts to expand its terrorist networks and operational influence across the Western Hemisphere. The agreement also outlines plans to enhance cooperation in innovation, technology, trade, and broader economic openness.

The Isaac Accords are widely seen as being inspired by the Abraham Accords signed in 2020, which normalised relations between Israel and several Arab states and reshaped parts of Middle Eastern diplomacy.

At the signing ceremony in Jerusalem, U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee praised the partnership, describing both leaders as close allies of former U.S. President Donald Trump. He noted that Trump holds both Netanyahu and Milei in high regard and values his personal relationships with them.

President Javier Milei described the launch as a landmark moment for Argentina and Israel. He said the initiative would not only strengthen bilateral ties but also contribute to a more prosperous and freer hemisphere built on shared values and cooperation.

The announcement marks a significant step in Israel’s efforts to broaden its diplomatic and strategic alliances on a global scale.
