BREAKING: If You Contest for Your State Governor, You Will Not Win – Primate Ayodele Warns Former EFCC Chair

The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong warning to Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, cautioning him against contesting the governorship election in Adamawa State.

In a statement released on Friday, Primate Ayodele predicted that Ribadu would face defeat if he decides to enter the race for the state’s top political office; The cleric advised Ribadu to focus on his current national assignment rather than pursuing gubernatorial ambitions.

According to Ayodele, the political climate in Adamawa is not favorable for Ribadu at the moment, stressing that a governorship bid could damage his reputation and political standing; He further claimed that unseen political forces and local dynamics would work against the former anti-corruption czar if he proceeds with such plans.

“Ribadu should not contest for Adamawa governorship if he wants to maintain his political relevance; If he goes ahead, he will not win,” Ayodele was quoted as saying.

Ribadu, a former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), remains a prominent figure in Nigeria’s political landscape, having previously contested the presidency and held key national positions.
