During the interview, Blessing Fubara explained that although he is related to the governor, they do not share the same political ideology. He stated that his decision to enter the race is independent and not influenced by any political godfather.
He referenced past political tensions in Rivers State, saying the public witnessed what happened between his brother and the All Progressives Congress (APC), and noted that the situation had been widely condemned.
In his words, he said, “The whole Nigeria saw what happened between my brother and his party. We have different political ideologies and individual perspectives. Everybody condemned what happened.”
He added that his aspiration is driven by a desire to provide good governance to the people of Rivers State and not to continue political rivalries or conflicts.
Blessing Fubara also emphasized that he is not operating under the influence of any political godfather, insisting that his ambition is based on personal conviction and a commitment to service delivery.
