According to a report by London Evening Standard on Friday May 29, 2026, Arsenal are hopeful Jurrien Timber will be fit in time for Saturday’s Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain as Mikel Arteta prepares his squad for the biggest match of the season in Budapest.
The Dutch defender has not featured since March due to injury concerns, but he trained with the squad this week and travelled with the team ahead of the showdown at the Puskas Arena.
Arteta is expected to provide a final update on Timber’s condition during Friday’s media duties. Arsenal remain eager to have him available to deal with PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has been one of the French side’s most dangerous attacking threats throughout the campaign.
The Gunners head into the final with very few injury concerns. Ben White remains the only confirmed absentee, while Mikel Merino has recovered and is back in contention. If Timber is unable to start, Cristhian Mosquera is likely to fill the right-back role against the reigning European champions.
