During an exclusive interview with Arise News on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Moses Paul, Chairmanship Candidate, Abuja Municipal Area Council, has discredited the fraud allegations made against former governor Peter Obi.
In recent times, Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate, has filed a N5 billion defamation suit against a Nigerian lawyer, Kenneth Okonkwo, after the legal practitioner accused him of defrauding aspirants in the Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC.
However, during the interview, Moses Paul, Chairmanship Candidate, Abuja Municipal Area Council, dismissed the fraud allegations against Peter Obi, describing them as inaccurate and false.
Paul described Obi as a man with integrity, recalling how their trips across seventeen states in America and how the former governor walked out of some places where he was offered money.
In his words, “Last year alone, I was in seventeen states with Peter Obi; just in America alone, I can tell you that there are some places where he was offered money and he walked out.”
