SHOCKING: Iran Hangs Man Accused of Working for Israel’s Spy Network

According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Saturday, April 25, 2026, Iranian authorities have executed a man accused of working as an agent for Israel, according to reports from state-linked media, in what officials describe as part of an ongoing crackdown on espionage and internal security threats.

The individual, identified as Irfan Kayani, was put to death after being convicted of charges including sabotage and actions aimed at spreading fear during nationwide protests earlier this year. Iran’s judiciary reportedly upheld the sentence following a ruling by the country’s Supreme Court, paving the way for the execution.

Details surrounding the case remain limited, but officials claim Kayani was involved in activities that undermined national security. Iranian authorities frequently accuse foreign intelligence services, particularly Mossad, of attempting to destabilise the country through covert operations and recruitment of local operatives.

The execution comes amid a broader wave of arrests carried out by Iran’s powerful paramilitary force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). According to official reports, nearly 240 individuals have been detained across multiple provinces in recent coordinated operations targeting what authorities describe as “counter-revolutionary elements.”

In Kurdistan Province, IRGC forces reportedly arrested at least 11 suspects and engaged in a confrontation with a Kurdish armed group, resulting in the death of one of its members. Security operatives also claimed to have uncovered and seized a significant cache of weapons and ammunition. In separate operations within the same province, approximately 70 additional individuals were taken into custody.

Authorities extended similar operations to Kermanshah Province, where the IRGC announced the arrest of 155 people. Officials allege that those detained were affiliated with opposition networks and groups deemed hostile to the state. Among those arrested, four individuals were specifically accused of espionage activities linked to Mossad, further reinforcing Iran’s claims of foreign interference.

In the capital, Tehran, law enforcement agencies also reported the arrest of a suspect accused of gathering sensitive information related to missile strike locations and transmitting it to what authorities described as “hostile networks.” Such allegations underscore the heightened sensitivity surrounding Iran’s military infrastructure and ongoing regional tensions.
