The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, on Monday visited the Nyanya–Karshi–Wassa–Apo road construction site to assess the pace of work, following the reaward of the project to SCC.
The road was first awarded in 2011, but after 14 years of the contractor’s failure to complete it, the FCT Administration revoked the contract and handed it over to SCC.
SCC has moved to the site and work is ongoing.
During the visit, Wike said the administration would no longer accept excuses after years of delay.
The new contractor assured the minister of its commitment to completing the project within 12 months
