Bed wetting is one of the things every parents must face in the course of raising their children. It is absolutely normal for a child to bed wet especially when he or she has not grown to a reasonable extent or advanced in age. This happens due to the poor control of the pelvic muscles during sleep and inability to easily wake when feeling pressed in the middle of the night.

So in this article in line with a publication on Healthline, we are going to have a look at some of the things you can do if your baby or child often urinates and you don’t want to that continue. Though there is no definite way of stopping it as long as the child hasn’t outgrown a particular age but you can regulate how frequently it happens.

What Are The Things You Should Do As A Parent If Your Child Bet Wets?

1. Make sure you give the child the water he or she would need for the night some hours before bed. This is one way to stop bed wetting or at least regulate it significantly. The reason is that, if a child is giving water to drink a couple of minutes before going to bed, the chances of him or her urinating would be very high because the bladder may easily get full.

2. Take your child to the bathroom before he or she goes to bed. This is very important and works most of the time, if the child empties his or her bladder before going to bed, there will be less chances of urinating in the middle of the night.

3. Make sure the child has easy access to the toilet. Sometimes kids due to the fear of getting up in the middle of the night and not being able to locate the toilet end up bed wetting. So make sure your child has access to the toilet.

4. Consider adding some reward for your child if he or she remains dry or doesn’t urinate while sleeping. Some kids will make the work easier for you when you incorporate some gifts into the game.
