In a Sunday sermon shared on YouTube, Adeboye said he was led to conduct a brief Bible study focusing on the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and its relevance to believers. “Since we are not in a rush, I thought it would be good to have a little Bible study this Sunday,” he said as he introduced the message.
He reminded worshippers of the foundation of redemption in the Christian faith: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law and made the blessings of Abraham ours.” Adeboye explained that this truth helps believers connect to God’s covenant promises and overcome worldly limitations.
The cleric further noted that major spiritual powers on earth exist in opposing pairs. “The great forces at work in this world always come in twos — light and darkness, life and death,” he said. “As one person dies, another is born. Blessings and curses, good and evil — they always exist together.”
Citing Deuteronomy 30:19, he reminded the congregation that God has given humanity the power to choose: “‘I call heaven and earth to witness that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing,’ says the Lord.”
Pastor Adeboye concluded by urging Christians to choose life by obeying God’s Word, stressing that obedience determines whether one lives under divine blessings or suffers the consequences of disobedience and curses. Source
