The lawmaker representing Ede-North/Ede-South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency in Osun State at the House of Representatives, Bamidele Salam on Wednesday, held a protest walk against insecurity in Nigeria.

30 terrorists were killed as a crisis erupted between rival groups

About 30 terrorists in Zamfara forests were killed when conflict erupted between bandit kingpin, Bello Taraji, and his rivals.

Among the terrorists who died when the conflict heightened, were some leaders among the gunmen and their loyalists.

Several Abducted As Bandits Block Highway, Set Buses Ablaze In Kaduna

Several people have been reportedly kidnapped by bandits who attacked travelers along the Kaduna-Birnin-Gwari Road in Kaduna State.

Sources said the bandits blocked the highway on Tuesday and in the process, set about eight vehicles ablaze.

Russia warns US rocket supplies could widen Ukraine conflict

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the supply of US advanced rocket launchers to Ukraine raised the risks of a “third country” being dragged into the conflict.

Lavrov was responding to a question at a news conference in Saudi Arabia about the US plans to provide Ukraine with advanced rocket systems that can strike with precision at long-range Russian targets.

He also said that Moscow is facing difficulties exporting grain due to sanctions against its ships.
