The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday said those who accused him of destabilizing the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have now defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Some PDP chieftains had criticized Wike for accepting a ministerial role under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
However, the minister said the former PDP members should commend him for working for the APC, which he said has paved the way for their defection.
The minister spoke during the flag-off of the construction of the Main Carriageways of Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX)
from Ring Road I Junction to Ring Road II Junction along Wasa Road, by Shoprite
Junction in Apo area of Abuja.
Wike said, “People who said I want to destabilize the PDP, that I am working for the APC, all of them are now in APC.
“I’m very happy that very soon I will speak to Nigerians. I have been watching on daily televisions and social media people who said I want to destabilize the party. I’m working for APC, and all of them are now in APC.”
