Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, made his first public appearance amid his health challenge.
Edun visited the O’DA Art Gallery booth in London at the event in the company of two other individuals.
In a short video, he could be heard saying “I got a few days off to rest, I can’t stay long in the house, so I’m coming to enjoy this beautiful exhibition.
“I’m happy to see Nigerian artists on display, telling their story to the world.”
The video of Edun at the art gallery was posted on X by President Bola Tinubu’s spokesman, Sunday Dare with the caption: “Minister Wale Edun. Today. Art Gallery.”
Edun’s appearance comes hours after reports emerged that he had travelled to the United Kingdom to receive medical treatment.
The Minister was said to have been unable to attend the ongoing World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Annual Meetings in Washington, D.C due to his alleged illness.
The coordinating Minister of the Economy was said to have suffered a stroke and was being treated locally before he was flown abroad for further medical attention.
