Primate Ayodele: “I Can’t Predict the Future, But African Youth Should Brace for Revolution”

In a recent video on Facebook, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned of a possible wave of youth-led uprisings across Africa, urging prayers to prevent such unrest from affecting Nigeria.

Speaking during a public address, Ayodele said he foresaw widespread agitation among young people demanding change in leadership. “I don’t know what will happen. I don’t know,” he said. “But mind you, I see youth in Africa get ready for revolution and let’s pray it does not enter Nigeria.”

The cleric added that the movement could bring about significant political shifts on the continent. “We don’t know yet. African youth, they are going to change government,” Ayodele stated. “And Nigeria is not left out.”

His warning comes amid growing political tensions and economic challenges in several African countries, where youth movements have often been at the forefront of calls for reform, accountability, and improved governance.

Ayodele’s remarks highlight concerns over rising discontent among young populations facing unemployment, insecurity, and lack of opportunities, which have historically fueled protests and, in some cases, political transitions.

The cleric urged leaders across the continent to address the grievances of young people proactively and to promote dialogue as a way of averting crises that could destabilize nations.
