Tinubu and Denmark’s Richest Man Anders Povlsen Meet in Abuja — Billionaire’s Visit Sparks Interest
President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday hosted Denmark’s wealthiest businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Bestseller, Anders Holch Povlsen, at the State House in Abuja.
The visit was announced by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The meeting forms part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment and deepen economic cooperation between Nigeria and Denmark.
Povlsen, who also heads the Bestseller Foundation, was accompanied by the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Hansen, alongside other senior Danish officials.
Also in attendance were the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani.
Onanuga wrote, “Denmark’s richest man, Mr Anders Holch Povlsen of BESTSELLER & BESTSELLER FOUNDATION, visited President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, Tuesday, October 28, 2025.”
The visit comes as the Tinubu administration continues its drive to strengthen international partnerships and expand foreign direct investment.
