PDP appoints Obi as secretary of 2025 convention committee

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has appointed Senator Ben Ndi Obi as Secretary of the 2025 Elective National Convention Organizing Committee, NCOC.

The appointment was approved by the party’s National Working Committee, NWC, on behalf of the National Executive Committee, NEC.

This was announced in a statement signed on Tuesday, October 15, 2025, by the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba.

According to Olugunagba, the NWC said the appointment is part of preparations for the 2025 PDP Elective National Convention scheduled to hold from Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The NWC commended the committee, chaired by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, for its commitment and tireless efforts toward ensuring the success of the upcoming convention.

It also urged all party leaders, stakeholders, and members to remain united and focused on the successful conduct of the convention and the continued progress of the party.
