Suspected ISWAP terrorists have launched an attack on Madiya village, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, leaving one person dead and property destroyed.
Multiple sources told Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency expert, that the incident occurred on 2nd December, 2025.
The armed terrorists who stormed community at about 11:50 pm went to the residence of one Umar Jalam, 50, where they shot him in the chest and set his house ablaze.
The attackers also burnt down a provision store and rustled nine cows and one tricycle belonging to the villagers.
The victim was certified dead at the General Hospital, Buni-Yadi.
Troops, in conjunction with vigilante groups and hunters, where said to have visited the scene and intensified efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects and recover the stolen property.
