Nigeria’s security in good hands with General Musa — Bishop Kukah

The Catholic Archbishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah, has expressed optimism that with General Christopher Musa (retd) as Minister of Defence, Nigeria’s security is in capable hands.

Bishop Kukah expressed this confidence on Thursday while addressing State House correspondents after attending the swearing-in ceremony of General Musa at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

He said that the administration of President Bola Tinubu appears set to reposition national security and restore calm across the country.

He said, “With Musa, Nigeria’s security is in good hands. It does seem very clear that the President wants to reposition issues of security, and I think the situation is in very good hands.”

The Christian cleric further stated that he was at the Villa wearing two hats, as the Archbishop of Sokoto and as a representative of the Sultan of Sokoto.

According to the Bishop, Nigeria’s challenge is clear and revolves around restoring normalcy by any means possible.

DAILY POST reports that President Tinubu nominated General Musa as Minister of Defence following the resignation of Badaru Mohammed.
