Niger Gov Bago stresses on teamwork, synergy among govt officials

Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, has emphasized the need for teamwork and synergy among government officials to drive development in the state.

Bago made this call at a capacity-building retreat for commissioners, special advisers, permanent secretaries, and local government chairmen, stressed the need for them to work together and think outside the box to move the state forward.

According to him, ” There is the need to have team work among the stakeholders in my government to relate well with one another, and endeavour to think outside the box on how to move the state forward”.

The governor stressed the importance of prudent management of resources, ensuring that budgeted funds are spent in line with the state’s vision.

He outlined his priorities for the 2026 budget, focusing on education, health, and water, while assuring that ongoing projects would be completed.

The governor also announced plans to empower local government vice chairmen to focus on women, widows, and children at the grassroots level, allowing council chairmen to concentrate on administrative duties.
