NEWS FLASH: PDP Suspends Party Chairman
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State has suspended Bala Mande as its Chairman.
Mande was sanctioned for one month as a result of anti-party activities, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by Abba Bello, the state’s party publicity secretary.
The suspended chairman’s activities, according to the PDP, were “clearly in violation of the various sections of its constitution.”
In related news, the PDP has rescheduled its governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives, and house of assembly primaries due to disagreements over the final list of delegates and reconciliation efforts.
Furthermore, this news outlet has learned that the party is weighing its options in terms of achieving consensus among aspirants.
The presidential primary will be held on May 28th and 29th, 2022.
