The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed December 24, 2025 as the deadline for the payment of 2026 Hajj fare.
Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, disclosed in an interview with newsmen in Dutse on Tuesday.
Labbo urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments for Hajj seats on or before December 24, 2025.
The DG said the Board is working diligently to ensure a successful Hajj exercise, including securing the best possible accommodation and arrangements for Jigawa pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
He added that the Board also refunded more than N50 million to intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj following the reduction in Hajj fares announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON.
The refunds were issued to those who had completed their payments before NAHCON adjusted the fare.
Labbo also expressed appreciation to Governor Umar Namadi for his continuous support and commitment towards ensuring smooth and successful Hajj operations.
