IPOB: Buhari’s ex-aide dismisses news of Kanu converting wardens in Sokoto prison

Former media aide to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, on Friday, has reacted to reports that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have converted two wardens in Sokoto Custodial centre into in hating the Nigerian government.

Ahmad described the report of Kanu converting two prison warden in Sokoto Custodial Centre as dumb.

Reports had it that after Kanu converted the two wardens into joining him in hating Nigeria, they both resigned from service.

Recall that Justice James Omotosho of the Abuja Federal High Court had sentenced Kanu to lifetime imprisonment for charges bothering on terrorism.

Omotosho ruled that Kanu should serve his sentence in Sokoto Custodial Centre.

However, Ahmad berated IPOB members who believe in the claim without any form of evidence.

Ahmad wrote: “I just read one of the dumbest posts on Facebook, a claim that Nnamdi Kanu has “converted” two prison wardens in Sokoto Prison to join him in hating Nigeria and that the wardens even resigned.

“You know what? His people believe it and have been circulating the post without a shred of logic or evidence.”
