Igbos Not Leaving Nigeria – Gov Umahi
Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, has said despite the agitation for Biafra secession, Igbo people will remain in Nigeria.
Umahi stated this while speaking to State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday.
The presidential hopeful who visited the villa to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for his two-day working trip to Ebonyi on May 5 and 6, dismissed the insinuation that the people of the South-East were no longer interested in Nigeria.
He made it known that Igbos were not in support of any form of secessionist agitation.
According to him: “I have always said that we are not totally in support of agitation to secede. We want to belong to the Nigerian nation.
“I don’t care about the attacks and those who have taken to the politics of that matter in our place.”
