Fifty bag first class in Ajimobi Technical University

No fewer than fifty students have bagged first class at Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adesola Ajayi, disclosed this on Monday at a press conference to herald the 2024/2025 convocation ceremony of the university.

DAILY POST reports that the university is one of the tertiary institutions owned by the Oyo State government.

Ajayi said a total of 183 students have satisfactorily met the requirements to hold the bachelor’s degrees in the institution.

According to him, out of the number, 50 graduands made first class in the 2024/2025 academic session.

He maintained that the students went through various rigorous tests and examinations before they were awarded with the degrees.

“They have undergone many rigorous screenings and examinations before they were awarded the degrees.

“You know that this institution is a science-based institution. Our criteria are very stringent. It is merit based.

“It is either you get it or not. You will see that in our students,” he said.

The VC used the opportunity to thank the state and the federal governments for their support for the institution.
