Female Students Who Have Been Kidnapped Regain Their Liberty
Students from the Kaduna State College of Education (KSCOE), Gidan Waya, who were kidnapped three days ago, have been released.
The students, Racheal Edwin, Esther Ishaya, Promise Tanimu, and Beauty Luka, were abducted in the state’s Jemaá Local Government Area, INFOGONG gathered.
According to Comrade Benjamin Fie, President of the Students Union at the school, the kidnappers demanded a large ransom.
“The kidnappers have already demanded a large ransom for their release.” “We want to use this medium to encourage the college community and all students to commit to praying for themselves, the school, and their parents,” he had said.
However, he told the INFOGONG on Saturday that their kidnappers had released them on Friday.
Fie did not say whether or not a ransom was paid. He only stated that they were rushed to Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital in Kafanchan for medical attention before being reunited with their relatives.
