EFCC arrests ex-NDDC boss over N47 billion loot
Nsima Ekere, former managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly looting the government coffers to the tune of N47 billion.
Mr Ekere, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was part of party operatives who screened aspirants for national assembly tickets over the weekend.
Peoples Gazette could not reach Wilson Uwajaren, EFCC spokesman, for comment as his line was not connecting as of the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, the anti-graft agency on Monday arrested Ahmed Idris, Accountant General of the Federation over N80 billion fraud.
