The Edo State House of Assembly has given Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, the lawmaker representing Egor constituency one week to appear before its ethics and privileges committee for allegedly bringing the House to a public disrepute.
DAILY POST reports that the speaker of the House, Blessing Agbebaku announced this at Tuesday’s plenary sitting.
Agbebaku lamented that the lawmaker who is now married to a Nigeria international singer, Innocent Ujah Idibia with the stage name “2Face” and later 2Baba” had been dragging the name of the House in the mud for too long.

In a recent viral video circulating on several social media platforms, Natasha was heard inside a shop in London airport shouting repeatedly don’t do that.
According to the video she was heard shouting, “don’t do it. Don’t fucking do it. Na everyday you go dey shout for me? Wetin dey happen? Why are you raising your voice at me?
Speaking at the plenary, the Speaker described the Peoples Democratic Party lawmaker’s action as embarrassing.
“Distinguished members, of recent, this Honourable House, with cerebral and highly educated members, have been dragged to the mud for too long by our colleague, Honorable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru.
“For the past one week, she has been, let me use the word, trending negatively both electronic media and social media platforms. Television such as TVC, Silverbird, and other television stations.
“We want to let the public know that this House is a decent and reputable House. In Nigeria, as a whole, this House is the best House. That is the truth.
“But we have responsible members in this House. Intelligent members in this House. Members that know what they are doing. So the attitude or the misconduct of a member cannot drag the House to disrepute”, he said.
Agbebaku, who said the house frowned against her attitude and actions, added that they will not tolerate and accept it any longer.
He, however, directed the embattled lawmaker to appear before the Ethics and Privileges Committee to explain why she is allegedly dragging the name of the house in the mud.
He also ordered her to appear before the committee within one while the committee has two weeks to submit its reports.
