Court rejects request to stop Kano anti-graft agency from probing Dala Inland Dry Port

A Federal High Court in Kano has refused to grant a request seeking to stop the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission from investigating the Dala Inland Dry Port project.

The case was filed by Hassan Bello, Abubakar Bawuro Sahabo, and Adamu Aliyu Sanda, who asked the court to restrain the commission and the state attorney general from taking any action against them until their fundamental rights case is decided.

Justice Simon Amobeda, who presided over the matter, refused the ex parte application and ordered that the respondents — the anti-corruption agency and the state attorney general — be informed to appear and explain why the request should be granted.

The judge further directed that, court documents should be properly served to the respondents before the next hearing date. The case was adjourned until October 28, 2025.
