Nigeria’s new Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd), has assured that the country is safe and secure, pledging that citizens will see tangible improvements in national security very soon.
General Musa stated this on Thursday in Abuja while addressing journalists shortly after he was sworn in as Minister of Defence.
The new defence minister promised to strengthen coordination across the armed forces and security agencies, stressing that security is everybody’s responsibility.
The immediate past Chief of Defence Staff disclosed that President Tinubu has tasked him with ensuring that Nigerians can sleep peacefully, return to their farms, and send their children to school without fear.
“My immediate priority is to ensure defence takes its rightful place in the country. I assure Nigerians that results will be seen within the shortest possible time. I can guarantee that Nigeria is safe and secure,” he said.
