
Two workers at Imperio International Limited, Wempco Road, Ogba, Lagos, Lucky Joseph, 42 and Oladipo Olalekan, 51, have been arrested and charged for allegedly stealing full truck load of Iron scraps worth N25m.
According to the Police, the two workers conspired in the early hours of the morning, stole the items and escaped to an undisclosed location before the company later discovered that the truck and the items inside were missing.
The matter was reported to the Police at Area G Command, Ogba. The operatives moved into action, eventually arrested and detained them at the Command for interrogation over the missing items.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT I: “That you, LUCKY JOSEPH ‘M’, OLADIPO OLALEKAN ‘M’ and others now at large on or before the 22nd day of August, 2025, at about 0445hrs at Imperio International Limited, Wempco Road, Ogba, Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:” That you, LUCKY JOSEPH ‘M’, OLADIPO OLALEKAN ‘M’ and others now at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal a full truck of Iron scraps valued N25,000,000 (Twenty Five Million Naira), property of Imperio International Limited and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted them bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
