A member of the House of Representatives, Dr Wale Ahmed, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is guaranteed, urging opposition leaders to shelve any plans of challenging him.
Wale Ahmed, who represents Agege Federal Constituency, made the remarks at a stakeholders’ briefing held at the Agege Local Government Secretariat on Monday.
His comments come despite opposition parties including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) vowing to unseat Tinubu in the next general election.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and the ADC coalition led by ex-Senate President David Mark have all been vocal critics of the Tinubu administration.
Defending Tinubu’s right to a second term, Ahmed argued that just as late President Muhammadu Buhari, from the North, completed two terms, it would be fair for Tinubu, from the South, to do the same.
“All his opponents should rest and allow him to have a second term. By God’s grace, his second term is assured. I will mobilise my constituents to ensure Tinubu is returned,” Ahmed said.
The lawmaker also praised Tinubu’s reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy, which he described as an act of courage that has repositioned the economy. He pointed to rising foreign reserves of over $40 billion, improved foreign direct investment inflows, a reduction in inflation, and the rollout of N90 billion in student loans as signs of progress.

Ahmed further highlighted key infrastructure projects under Tinubu’s administration, such as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto–Badagry superhighway, and the Abuja–Kano dual carriageway rehabilitation, stressing that they would drive development across multiple states.
On his own stewardship, Ahmed listed empowerment schemes for youths and women, borehole installations, streetlights, medical outreaches, food palliatives, scholarships, and classroom construction among constituency projects delivered.
The briefing was attended by Agege Local Government Chairman Abdulganiyu Obasa, Orile Agege Council Chairman Abiodun Idowu, traditional rulers, market leaders, and community representatives, who commended Ahmed’s performance.
