According to a report by Vanguard on Friday, June 19, 2026, actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has responded to growing calls on social media urging him to intervene in an ongoing dispute involving his wife, Judy Austin’s former husband, Emmanuel Obasi, and matters relating to their children.
The controversy has generated considerable discussion online, with some social media users appealing to the Nollywood actor to play a role in resolving the situation.
In response, Edochie publicly addressed the issue, making his position clear and distancing himself from the disagreement.
The actor shared his reaction through a post on his social media page, where he explained that he has no involvement in the dispute between Obasi and Judy Austin.
According to Edochie, he has never taken any action that would prevent a parent from seeing his or her children.

The actor further emphasized that any discussions regarding the children should take place between Emmanuel Obasi and Judy Austin.

He said, “Some of my fans have reached out to me, saying, ‘Please allow him to see his children.’ I have never stopped anybody from seeing his children. Tell him to call his ex-wife if he wants to see or take his children; let them discuss it. He has her number. It has nothing to do with me.”
