BREAKING: Strong Words From Tehran: US Allegedly “Stuck In A Quagmire” And Seeking Fake Wins, Lawmaker Claims

According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Iranian lawmaker Mahmoud Nabavian stated on Wednesday that the country’s stock of enriched uranium has been moved and is currently stored in various locations across Iran.

According to Nabavian, there is uncertainty regarding the concentration of the material in any single facility. “It is not clear at all that our enriched uranium is in Isfahan. The materials have been dispersed everywhere and are located in different places,” he said.

His remarks suggested that Iran has distributed sensitive nuclear materials across multiple sites, a move he implied was intended to prevent concentration in one known location.

Nabavian also commented on United States policy toward Iran, criticising Washington’s approach and accusing it of attempting to present symbolic gains in the absence of substantive progress.

“The United States is stuck in a quagmire and is looking to manufacture achievements,” he said. He further added, “They may even enter an area (in Iran), fill an empty barrel with soil, and in the name of uranium, declare victory.”

The comments come amid ongoing tensions between Iran and Western countries over its nuclear programme, with repeated disputes regarding enrichment levels, site monitoring, and international inspections.

Iranian officials have consistently maintained that their nuclear activities are peaceful in nature, while Western governments continue to raise concerns about transparency and compliance with international agreements.

Nabavian’s statements add to the broader political rhetoric surrounding Iran’s nuclear capabilities, reflecting heightened sensitivity over security, verification processes, and diplomatic negotiations in the region.

No independent verification has been provided regarding the specific claims about the relocation or storage of enriched uranium across multiple facilities.
