BREAKING: Our Next Battle Ground Is Edo State, This Organization Was Not Formed For Pleasure – Asari Dokubo

Human Rights activist and former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has declared that Edo State will be the next focus of his organization’s activities, stressing that the group was founded to pursue a cause rather than for pleasure or social gatherings.

Speaking during an event aired on Gbaramatu TV, on Saturday, 20 June, 2026, while addressing an Ijaw group in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State, Dokubo urged members to remain committed to the organization’s founding objectives, saying its mission should not be diluted by distractions.

According to him, the group’s attention is now shifting beyond Rivers State, with Edo identified as its next area of engagement.

“Our next battle ground is Edo State. This organization was not formed for pleasure, was not formed for these sort of things. We did not form this organization for this fine fine things,” Dokubo said.

Although he did not elaborate on the nature of the “battle ground” he referred to, the statement appeared to serve as a rallying call for members to prepare for future activities in Edo State.

Dokubo reminded supporters that the organization was established to pursue a defined mission and not for entertainment or ceremonial purposes. He urged members to remain focused on the goals for which the group was created and to continue working towards its objectives.
