According to media entrepreneur and politician Dele Momodu, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2023, has a strong political base in the South-East of Nigeria. Momodu claims that no amount of money can unseat Obi in this region as long as he is on the ballot.
Momodu characterised the former governor of Anambra State as the dominating political figure in the South-East during an interview on Nevon HQ on Tuesday, 7 July, 2026. He added that Obi continues to have overwhelming popularity across the region. Spending on campaigns and political mobilisation, in his view, will not be able to change Obi’s level of popularity.Re@d See Full News; Read 0riginal
