According to DAILY POST, former Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Barrister Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado, has accused former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of allegedly diverting billions of naira belonging to the state for personal use.

Muhyi made the allegations in a video shared online, where he claimed that the former governor moved public funds into a private account without following due process. Confirming ownership of the video, Muhyi told DAILY POST that he was responsible for releasing the footage.

In the video, the former anti-corruption chief alleged that “Kwankwaso, in December 2023, collected N1 billion to build his house.” He also claimed that the former governor received N525 million for an office project during the same month, in addition to N1.240 billion and another N400,000 allegedly spent on official vehicles.

Muhyi further alleged that “in June 2024, Kwankwaso collected N100,800,000 for his medications and also collected N510,213,000 for his holidays

The former official, who said there were more details he intended to reveal, challenged Kwankwaso to take legal action if his claims were untrue.
