Party’s Declaration and Allegations
Despite facing what the Union for Change 2025 described as the ruling party’s “traditional machinery of fraud,” they maintain their candidate emerged victorious. The declaration aims to position Issa Tchiroma as the people’s choice ahead of the official results from the electoral body.
Call for Recognition and Civic Vigilance
The party has called on outgoing President Paul Biya to promptly congratulate the winner, Issa Tchiroma. They also urged all administrative and security authorities to respect the will of the Cameroonian people as expressed at the polls. The Union for Change 2025 is appealing to citizens to remain mobilized and defend what it calls their electoral victory.
The official statement was signed in Douala on October 12, 2025, by party officials Anicet Ekane and Djeukam Tchameni. The nation now awaits the official proclamation from Cameroon’s electoral commission to confirm the final outcome of this pivotal presidential election.
