According to the Anadolu agency, new satellite images of Israel’s Ramat David Air Base have drawn renewed attention to the impact of recent Iranian missile strikes, with Israeli media reports suggesting that key facilities at the base may have suffered significant damage.
According to a report published by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, imagery released in recent days appears to show signs of missile strikes on aircraft shelters at the strategically important air base in northern Israel. The assessment comes after analysts compared newly available satellite photographs with images taken earlier this month.
The base, located roughly 50 kilometers from the Lebanese border, serves as an operating hub for F-16 fighter jets and unmanned aerial vehicles. Its position and military role have long made it a sensitive site during periods of regional tension.
Yedioth Ahronoth reported that visible changes in the images point to possible damage to several aircraft shelters. The newspaper noted that a satellite image captured on Monday, despite its relatively low resolution, shows a noticeable mark in the area where the shelters are located when compared with imagery from June 5.
The report stated that this comparison suggests the shelters may have sustained serious damage during the latest round of hostilities between Iran and Israel. However, the full extent of any destruction remains unclear. Israeli military officials and army spokespersons have not publicly commented on the claims or provided an assessment of the images.
The latest reports come amid heightened scrutiny of military infrastructure on both sides following weeks of escalating confrontation. According to the newspaper, Ramat David has previously been targeted during earlier clashes involving both Iran and Hezbollah. The report also said that during a previous conflict described as the “40-day war,” several locations within the base, including fuel supply facilities, were struck.
While independent verification of the reported damage remains limited, the emergence of satellite imagery has intensified discussion about the effectiveness of recent missile attacks and the vulnerability of key military installations in an increasingly volatile regional security environment.
