According to Anadolu Agency, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has warned that what he described as the “shaky Zionist regime” has only a few days remaining, as tensions between Iran and Israel continue to intensify.

The statement was delivered during a televised address to senior military officials and is regarded as one of Tehran’s strongest warnings since the latest round of hostilities between the two countries began.

“Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei says that the shaky Zionist regime has few days left, amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, state media quoted him as saying.”

Khamenei, who succeeded his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as Supreme Leader following his death last year, accused Israel of miscalculating its military strategy after weeks of reciprocal airstrikes. He argued that Israeli society is facing deep internal challenges and claimed that military actions targeting Iran and its regional allies have produced unintended consequences.

Israeli authorities quickly dismissed the remarks. Foreign Minister Israel Katz countered the statement by asserting that it is the Iranian leadership that faces an uncertain future. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces remain on heightened alert amid concerns over possible retaliatory actions despite Iran’s recent announcement suspending direct attacks.

The comments have also generated concern among Western governments, many of which fear that increasingly aggressive rhetoric from both sides could contribute to a broader regional conflict. The White House reaffirmed its support for Israel’s security, while the United Nations renewed calls for restraint and urged all parties to reduce tensions through both their actions and public statements.

Although Iran recently indicated an end to direct military strikes against Israel, Khamenei’s latest remarks highlighted the fragile state of the situation. Adding to those concerns, Lebanon-based Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, signaled that it could intensify its activities if Israeli forces continue operations against its positions.

The developments underscore the continued volatility in the Middle East and the challenges facing diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing a wider conflict.
