According to a report by Al-Jazeera on Friday, June 19, 2026, a senior Iranian official has claimed that Iran emerged victorious from the recent confrontation with its adversaries, declaring that the country had “brought the devils of the world to their knees” and ended what he described as global domination by its enemies.
Mohsen Rezaei, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, made the remarks in a statement shared on social media platform X, praising what he called a historic achievement by the Iranian nation.
“The proud and triumphant nation of Iran brought the devils of the world to their knees and shattered their dominance,” Rezaei wrote, adding that the events would be remembered as a defining moment in history.
“This epic will endure eternally in history,” he said, portraying the confrontation as a major victory for Iran against powerful international opponents.
However, Rezaei also acknowledged the heavy losses suffered by Iran during the conflict, saying the country remained in mourning over the deaths of senior figures and military leaders.
He said Iran was grieving “over the blood of our martyred leader,” adding that the loss had left a deep wound that, in his words, could only be answered through retaliation.
The remarks came after a period of intense hostilities involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, during which Tehran suffered the loss of several high-ranking officials. Iranian authorities described those killed as national figures whose deaths represented a significant blow to the country’s leadership structure.
Among those reported killed were senior Iranian officials, including former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in what Iranian officials described as part of a US-Israeli military campaign against the country.
The conflict has heightened tensions across the Middle East, with Iranian officials repeatedly warning that any attacks on the country would receive a response. Tehran has framed the confrontation as a struggle against foreign pressure and what it calls attempts by Western powers to weaken Iran’s influence.
Rezaei, a former commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), is a prominent political and military figure who has long played a role in Iran’s strategic affairs.
