BREAKING: I’m a Calabar Boy, People Call Me a Playboy, But Girls Sleep in My House and Nothing Happens – Roby

Nigerian entertainer and MC Roby Ekpo has addressed public perceptions about his lifestyle, particularly claims that he lived a “playboy” life.

He made this clarification during a conversation on The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he spoke about how people often misunderstood his personality because of his social environment and career.

In his words, “I’m a Calabar boy, girls come to my house and sleep overnight but we don’t do anything.”

According to him, growing up and working in Calabar, he was often surrounded by a vibrant social scene, which led many people to assume certain things about his lifestyle. However, he explained that these assumptions did not accurately reflect his personal choices.

Ekpo noted that while he had female friends who sometimes stayed over at his place, it did not automatically translate into anything inappropriate. He expressed frustration that people were quick to judge his character based on appearances rather than reality.

He added that being in the entertainment industry often comes with stereotypes, especially for individuals who are outgoing or have wide social circles. According to him, such labels can create a false narrative that does not align with who a person truly is.

The entertainer emphasized that personal discipline and values play a significant role in how individuals conduct themselves, regardless of their environment.

His remarks have sparked conversations about stereotypes, personal boundaries, and how quickly people form opinions based on limited information.

He concluded by stressing the importance of not judging others solely based on assumptions or societal expectations.
